How often should my septic tank be pumped? +

Every 2–3 years for most year-round households, sooner with a garbage disposal or a full house. Michigan is the only state with no statewide septic code, so nobody sends you a reminder — the tank just quietly fills until it's a problem. Call us and we'll put you on a cycle that fits your household, and tell you honestly if you can wait.

What's the difference between a septic tank and a holding tank? +

A septic tank treats and drains to a field, and needs pumping every few years. A holding tank just holds — no drain field — so it needs pumping on a regular schedule, sometimes monthly. Lake places and ski rentals around here are often on holding tanks. If you're not sure which you have, we can tell you when we see it.

My septic is backing up right now. What do I do? +

Stop running water — no laundry, no showers, no flushing you can avoid. Then call (906) 285-2833 — day or night, the line is open 24/7. A backed-up tank usually needs pumping before anything else can even be diagnosed, and that's exactly what the truck does.

Do I need to be home when you come? +

Usually not — once we know where the tank and lids are, most pump-outs happen without the owner on site, and we confirm when the work's done. First visit, it helps to walk it together or send photos. Confirm the specifics for your place when you call.

Do you really come out in winter? +

We live here too — winter is half the year. Plowed access to the tank helps a lot, and holding tanks on winter rental schedules are our bread and butter. If the truck can get in, the job gets done.
